Roads & Maintenance Districts
- Oakhurst officials would oversee the maintenance, repair and upgrading of the 39 lane miles of publicly maintained roads.
- Oakhurst will receive a share of Measure T sales tax based upon its population. Road funds (not including maintenance district revenues) are projected to be $8.5 million during the first ten operational years.
- The Town council would replace the Madera County Board of Supervisors as the oversight/management body concerning transferred maintenance districts and service areas. These districts would include the Oakhurst wastewater treatment district (MD22A), Meadowview Drive water district (MD42), as well as various road maintenance districts (MD 20, 29A, 32, 32A, 44, 47, 51, 72, 76, 98) and county service areas (CSA 06, 08, 12, 18)
